A 45m SY are looking for a rotational first officer with OOW in hand and ideally already some drive time under his belt.

Rotational calendar will be roughly 7 months on, 5 months off. They are asking for the candidate to be a little flexible as they want to overlap the time for deliveries.
The boat will have extensive periods without the captain on board, so the responsibility for the vessels safety and managing the crew is resting on the on the F/O's shoulders often. Therefore the F/O should be able to lead, teach and look after the crew. Helpful in this context will be to adapt to the companies and captains philosophy. A well balanced personality is needed. 
A sailing dinghy or racing background will be a bonus. The boat has a complex rig, so sailing and rig knowledge should be spotless, nevertheless. Confident big boat /big gear experience as well as furling mainsail experience is a must, too.

The FO needs to be able to plan maintenance and manage the work load on board for the crew and the contractors. He will be in charge of organising worklists. For the history and maintenance we are working with IDEA software. For all of this we are looking for some technical knowledge. Reading drawings and have general technical understanding of installations to be able to troubleshoot issues should be no problem. This also helps to organise the technicians for repairs/maintenance/upgrade work and the respective job quality control.

We have an extensive yard period planned in the med for the summer with world cruising starting by the end of this year. Canaries, Caribbean, Panama, Pacific, NZ, Japan, British Columbia and lots more is on the schedule for the next years ahead. Us crew get along very well and we look after each other during work and outside of work hours too.
