Our core ambition with starting Frey was to offer a true personal approach to recruitment. Advertising, interviewing and reference checking can take valuable time from clients so we do the leg work for them and provide only carefully selected candidates.

Having both been crew looking for positions but also with experience in hiring new crew, we are well aware of the intricacies and obstacles that arise throughout the process.

Offering a hands on service to every client, we aim to gain a thorough understanding of the brief and the boat and the dynamics. We then seek to find the most suitable candidates who match the requirements and exceed expectations.

We are both passionate and hard working individuals who still have a love and respect for the industry we have both worked in for over 12 years each. We bring this attitude and knowledge to every placement.

Growing up in an equestrian family in Sweden, my first ever sailing experience was a trans Atlantic crossing! From there on I never looked back. Many more crossings and 12 years later sailing and cooking on board super yachts and in Luxury villas it was time to put down roots and start a family in Mallorca. Starting Frey with Gemma is the next adventure and always delivered with the same attention to detail as on a yacht!

I grew up in Scotland and sailed on the west coast in small dinghies during the summer holidays. It was during a visit to Antigua before starting university that I realised I wanted to pursue a career in sailing and being on the water. I have worked on both busy private and charter programs as a chef, or running the interior, managing interior refits and organising regatta logistics. With my experiences and wide reaching network I hope to continue to connect successful and happy teams.
