A modern, 37m SY with an exciting world cruising itinerary is seeking and experienced first mate.

Candidates must be an experienced sailor, preferably with a dinghy racing background and intuitive sailing skills. Experience on large sailing yachts is essential. This is a high-performance vessel, and they sail frequently.

They have a training budget and encourage continuous professional development. This position would suit someone looking to invest a year or two in gaining qualifications towards an OOW or Captain's certification.The candidate must possess strong practical boat maintenance skills and be self-motivated, as the Mate is solely responsible for deck operations. 

The ideal candidate will be a capable watch leader, and they will have ample opportunity to gain driving experience in various situations.

They are embarking on a world sailing trip and the itinerary will include a summer on  the East Coast USA, followed by the Caribbean, Central America, Brazil, South Africa and the Indian Ocean. They expect to be sailing back across the Pacific in 2027 to 2028.

This is a private program with adventurous owners and steady use.
