Commissioning Engineer - 128ft new build - Flexible on-site schedule
A 128ft sailing yacht approaching completion requires an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join the project in Finland from January through May. The role involves consistent onsite periods of at least two weeks at a time and suits someone methodical, organised, and confident working through a full new-build commissioning phase. System testing for the hybrid propulsion and vessel-wide systems begins in January, and the engineer will be responsible for driving this process, coordinating with the yard and contractors, and ensuring all work streams stay on track.
The position requires previous new-build experience on large sailing yachts or similar vessels, with a strong background in system commissioning and a solid understanding of hybrid technology. A key part of the role includes establishing the planned maintenance schedules, documentation, and digital platforms that will later be handed over to the Operational Engineer, so clarity and precision are essential.
