We are seeking an experienced First Mate to join a 128ft new-build sailing yacht, currently in the final stages of construction in Finland. The ideal start date is around February.

You will be joining during the final commissioning phase, supporting the Captain in ensuring all deck operations, safety procedures, and sailing systems are correctly set up and fully functional ahead of launch. This role will be hands-on, involving oversight of the deck department and close collaboration with the build and commissioning teams.

Following sea trials, the yacht will cruise down to the Mediterranean for its first summer season with the owners. The vessel will winter in Mallorca for the first two years, with exciting plans for world cruising to follow.

The owners are down-to-earth, hospitality-minded individuals, seeking a professional yet personable First Mate who can contribute to a positive, family-orientated atmosphere onboard.

Qualifications required: Strong sailing background, experience as First Mate or Bosun stepping up on similar-sized sailing yachts, YM Ocean preferred
