Engineer - 25m Performance Catamaran - Race program
A high-performance catamaran is seeking an experienced Engineer to join while the vessel is currently in the shipyard. The start date is mid-February, followed by approximately one month of handover, with launch scheduled for March.
The program is heavily race-focused, with a Mediterranean summer racing campaign including four regattas, running through to the end of September. Following the Med season, the yacht will prepare for a transatlantic race, followed by a Caribbean racing season over the winter. There is very limited owner cruising, making this a predominantly performance-driven program. This is likely the final Caribbean season, with the yacht expected to be based in Mallorcagoing forward, returning to the Mediterranean each summer for racing campaigns.
This role is ideally suited to an engineer who is comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, with strong troubleshooting skills. The vessel’s systems sit between those of a small race boat and a traditional yacht, and the successful candidate will be particularly strong in hydraulics and control systems. AEC1 minimum is required, with relevant experience and proven capability considered far more important than additional formal tickets.
The crew consists of three onboard—Captain, Mate and Engineer—with a Chef joining whenever required. This is a stable, professional program with an excellent history of crew longevity and a strong team culture.
