A 40m modern classic sailing yacht is seeking an experienced rotational Captain to join a private, dual-season program, start date could be from now onwards for the next 10 weeks. This role is ideally suited to a Captain with strong hands-on sailing skills and a genuine appreciation for performance sailing on modern classic-style yachts.

The owners are looking for a Captain who is a confident sailor first and foremost, with excellent communication skills, navigation and boat-handling under sail. Previous regatta experience is important, as the yacht typically participates in two regattas per year. A calm, methodical approach and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure are essential, alongside a strong focus on safety and best practice.

A minimum of Yacht master Ocean is required. Also looking for a captain who puts importance on fostering a positive and professional onboard culture. Leadership style should be measured, respectful and steady, with a proven record of crew longevity.

The rotation is 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off, with some flexibility required around owner usage.

Qualifications required: Yacht master Ocean minimum, previous regatta experience, 3+ years as captain on 30m+ sailing yachts.
