A 40m modern classic sailing yacht is seeking a rotational Captain to join a well-run private program currently making its way toward the Pacific. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience on similar-sized sailing yachts and be a confident sailor with strong offshore and passage-making experience. Proven crew management skills, a strong focus on safety, and a professional service mindset toward both owners and guests are essential.

This is an active program with owners who enjoy sailing and spending time on the water. They are keen on a range of water sports, including surfing, so the Captain needs to be comfortable in a sporty and adventurous environment.

The upcoming two-year itinerary will focus on off-the-beaten-track cruising, including the Pacific, New Zealand and beyond.

The role is offered on a 2:2 rotation. The owners are known for looking after their crew and fostering a positive onboard culture, resulting in strong crew longevity and a supportive working environment.

Minimum certification required is YM Ocean, with OOW preferred.

Qualifications required: YM Ocean minimum, previous experience as Captain on similar sized SY's, Water sports interest and pacific sailing preferred
