A 40+m MY is seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join their well established crew.

This is a private, dual season program with a USA-Caribbean itinerary. his is a great opportunity for a junior engineer working towards their SV EOOW, with all sea time onboard meeting the minimum requirement of over 350kW. They also have an excellent training programme in place, along with two fantastic Chief Engineers, who are both very keen to teach and mentor the right candidate.

Our ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

• True non-smoker

• No visible tattoos

• Available to start in April

• Active and fit, as most of the crew surf, kiteboard, and enjoy an active lifestyle

• Proven longevity on past yachts preferred

• Sailing background preferred, or at least someone who grew up sailing dinghies

• B1/B2 visa in hand preferred

• Experience with an East Coast USA / Caribbean programme preferred

• Ideally aged between 24 and 35

• 45 days holiday in Year 1, increasing to 60 days in Year 2

• Minimum required qualification: AEC 1 + 2

• At least 1 years’ experience as an engineer

• Trade background preferred
