Seasonal Chef - 34m SY
A 34m performance sailing yacht is seeking a seasonal Chef to join immediately through to the end of October.
This is a private program, mainly used by the owners, with the occasional two additional guests onboard a few times throughout the season. The yacht is very much sailing-focused, cruising primarily around the Balearics and surrounding Mediterranean areas during the summer. The owners typically stay onboard for three weeks at a time, using the yacht for around 9–10 weeks in total, with the yacht returning to Palma between trips as convenient.
The owners enjoy fresh, clean and healthy cuisine, with a preference for simple, well-executed dishes such as fresh pasta (equipment onboard) and lighter options including sushi-style meals, without overly heavy or complex menus. Food is generally informal, with a focus on quality rather than fine dining. During busy sailing periods, meals may be more practical, such as sandwiches while underway.
The ideal candidate will be clean, tidy and well organised, with a calm and adaptable approach. This role suits someone who enjoys a low-pressure, owner-focused program, is comfortable working independently, and can maintain high standards without overcomplicating the offering.
All crew have their own cabins onboard, contributing to a comfortable living environment.
Qualifications required: Previous sailing experience, 2-3 years in the industry
