Dive master/Deckhand - 55m+ SY - Pacific
A 55m+ sailing yacht is seeking an experienced Dive/Deckhand to join the program ASAP in the Pacific.
This is a private program cruising through French Polynesia, with an upcoming itinerary including the Marquesas, Fiji and beyond. The yacht is currently in Tahiti and will depart for the Marquesas in late May, followed by approximately 7 weeks cruising, a short break period, and then onward to Fiji for further cruising before a scheduled refit period of 3–4 months in NZ.
The role is heavily dive-focused, requiring a confident and experienced diver who is comfortable leading and supervising dives for the owners and their guests. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all dive equipment, including tank refills, compressor use and full gear setup, as well as acting as a chaperone on every dive together with the chartered dive company used. This can involve multiple dives per day and requires good stamina and a genuine passion for diving.
The ideal candidate will hold relevant dive qualifications, with Rescue Diver or higher preferred, and have experience guiding or supporting dives in a professional setting. While sailing experience is not essential, strong deck experience on larger yachts is required, along with the ability to assist with general deck duties as part of the team.
You should be confident, responsible and comfortable interacting with owners and guests, particularly in a water-based environment. A proactive attitude and strong work ethic are essential, as this is a demanding but rewarding role within an active program.
