A 28m Sunseeker is seeking an experienced Captain to join a newly established private program under new ownership, with a start date in the next 2 weeks.

The yacht will be based primarily in the Balearics, cruising between Mallorca, Ibiza and potentially mainland Spain and the South of France, with flexibility depending on owner use with the yacht typically returning to Mallorca between trips. Winter plans are still being finalised, with options including Mallorca or mainland Spain.

This is a family-oriented program, with the owners and their two teenage children using the yacht extensively during July and August, more or less living onboard during this period. Additional usage is expected in May, June and September, typically for around one week per month.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, mature Captain with a strong focus on safety, organisation and professionalism. This role suits someone looking for longevity, as the owner is keen to find a Captain for the long term. A calm, structured approach and the ability to manage a small team and family program smoothly are essential.

The yacht will run with a crew of three during the summer, including a Cook/Stew and Deck/Stew, and the Captain will be responsible for building and managing this team.

Qualifications required: YM Offshore minimum, previous captain experience on similar sized yachts, AEC 1 & 2 as well as a good understanding of day to day engineering needs.

Itinerary: Balearic, Spain - Palma or Villanova for winter.

Start date and joining location: 2 weeks time, Mallorca

Package: Salary DOE, 45 days leave. Open to candidate flying home for weekends if based on the mainland for winter season.
