A world-cruising sailing yacht is seeking a long-term freelance Nanny to join an exciting and adventurous family program.

The role is centred around caring for a 3-year-old child during owner trips onboard. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising engaging activities, encouraging learning through play, reading and light educational activities, and acting as a trusted companion whilst sailing. The family are young, active and adventurous, so they are looking for someone who is sporty, energetic, reliable and genuinely enjoys being involved in an active lifestyle.

Previous experience working with children is essential, and candidates with sailing yacht experience will be strongly preferred. Prior Stewardess experience would also be beneficial, as the nanny will be living onboard and sharing a cabin with permanent crew. The ability to integrate quickly into a team environment and assist the interior department with reasonable duties when required is important.

The yacht operates an exciting world cruising itinerary, with the first trip beginning in Greece in early August, followed by future trips throughout South East Asia and beyond. Historically, the family spends approximately 3–4 months per year onboard, spread across 4–5 trips, typically including two longer trips of around four weeks each and several shorter trips throughout the year.

Candidates should be comfortable joining for occasional short passages and delivery periods when required. There may also be the opportunity to accompany the family on occasional land-based trips, although the primary focus of the role is onboard childcare.

Fluent English is required, with French considered a bonus. ENG1 and STCW are preferred but not essential.
