A 30m Swan is seeking a full-time Engineer to join a busy sailing and racing program from the beginning of November.

The yacht will finish the Mediterranean season with Ibiza JoySail before shipping to Florida for a short refit, followed by a Caribbean winter focused entirely on racing. The program includes the Nelson’s Cup, North Sound Maxi Regatta and St Barths. Next summer will again be predominantly race-focused, with the potential for around two weeks of owner cruising in the Mediterranean.

The yacht runs with four permanent crew and is looking for an Engineer with previous experience on larger sailing yachts who understands how to run a proper planned maintenance program and take ownership of the technical side of the yacht. The systems are relatively complex for a yacht of this size, including advanced hydraulics and PLC systems, so they are looking for someone technically confident, practical and comfortable troubleshooting independently.

Previous race yacht experience is not essential, but experience on a similar-sized or larger sailing yacht would be highly advantageous. The right person will be hands-on, organised and happy working within a small team where everyone gets involved.

This is initially a full-time position with 30 days leave, although they are open to discussing a larger leave package for the right candidate.

Qualifications required: AEC1 & 2 previous sailing yacht engineering experience a must
