1st Mate / Engineer – 95ft Sailing Yacht
A 95ft modern classic sailing yacht is seeking an experienced 1st Mate / Engineer to join a private cruising program ASAP.
The yacht was recently launched in the US and has since done some light cruising, with plans to head to the Caribbean for the winter. The upcoming itinerary includes Guadeloupe and Dominica, with the possibility of Antigua Race Week, before potentially heading to Norway and Sardinia next year.
The yacht runs with three crew, so they are looking for a capable and hands-on individual who is confident taking responsibility for the deck department while also assisting with the engineering side of the yacht. This is very much an all-rounder position, requiring someone with strong practical sailing experience and the ability to help troubleshoot and maintain onboard systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience on sailing yachts and hold at least a YM Offshore. A confident sailor is needed, deck maintenance knowledge and passage preparation, alongside having a good understanding of basic engineering. AEC 1 and 2 would be advantageous but are not essential.
With only two guest cabins and a maximum of four guests onboard, this is a small, owner-focused program. They are looking for someone proactive, reliable and organised who can work independently without needing constant direction.
