Bosun – 60m Sailing Yacht - World cruising

A 60m sailing yacht is seeking an experienced Bosun to join a busy private/charter program before end of November.

The yacht has an exciting itinerary ahead, with plans to depart Palma at the end of November for the Caribbean, including Christmas and New Year charters and the St Barths Bucket in 2027. The yacht will then return to the Mediterranean for the America's Cup Superyacht Regatta in Naples in July, alongside potential charter activity throughout the summer.

From the end of November 2027, the yacht will embark on an extended world cruising program, with plans to spend approximately five years in the Pacific. Japan is also on the itnerary. New Zealand will be used for yard periods, although the yacht will generally be on the move.

They are looking for a capable Bosun with a strong large sailing yacht background who is confident running deck operations and enjoys being part of an active, hands-on program. The owner is very sporty and enjoys e-foiling, kitesurfing and surfing regularly, so the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about water sports and happy to get involved with these activities.

The ideal candidate will be organised, practical and comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the deck department, including maintenance, sailing operations, tender driving and guest activities. This is a busy program with plenty of variety, so they are looking for someone proactive, adaptable and comfortable with an itinerary that is constantly moving.

A commercially endorsed Yachtmaster and generic ECDIS certificate are essential. Yacht-specific ECDIS familiarisation can be completed onboard.

The yacht offers an annual training allowance, alongside a 10% annual longevity bonus.

Qualifications required: Commercially endorsed Yachtmaster, generic ECDIS, STCW, ENG1 and previous large sailing yacht experience
