Crew Chef 45+m SY
CREW CHEF | 45+M PERFORMANCE SAILING YACHT
A well-established performance sailing yacht is seeking a Crew Chef to join its program from approximately February 2027.
The Owner’s Chef is increasingly involved with the principal both onboard and ashore and is expected to spend approximately 80 days onboard during 2027. The Crew Chef’s leave will largely coincide with these periods, providing approximately 75 days’ paid leave annually.
For the remainder of the year, the Crew Chef will take responsibility for producing healthy, varied and high-quality meals for the crew. They will also work alongside the Owner’s Chef ahead of guest trips, assisting with provisioning, preparation and galley organisation.
During regattas, the Crew Chef will cater ashore for a race crew of up to 25 people. Support will also be available from an experienced chef who has assisted with the programme during previous seasons.
They are looking for someone enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to learn, with strong kitchen fundamentals and the ability to manage crew cooking independently. It could suit someone culinary trained who is building experience on yachts.
The programme is planned well in advance, allowing working and leave periods to be discussed clearly during the interview process.
Following a Caribbean winter, they will return to the Mediterranean for the summer, including participation in the super yacht regatta around the America's Cup event.
Accommodation will usually be provided in a guest cabin, except during preparations for owner trips. When not in a guest cabin, female candidates may occasionally need to share with the Engineer, so must be comfortable with this arrangement.
